Purpose:
Reporting to Head of Service Design and Transition, the Service Design and Transition Manager is responsible for managing the design and transition of IT services to ensure they meet business requirements and are delivered effectively. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative service designs, facilitating smooth transitions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
About the role
This role leads Service Design, collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements that align with business objectives and quality standards. Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end Transition Planning to integrate new and updated services smoothly, developing detailed transition plans, and fostering engagement across business and technical teams.
The role also ensures Quality Assurance by monitoring service performance, maintaining thorough documentation, and upholding design and transition standards. A focus on Continuous Improvement is essential, refining processes by integrating industry best practices and stakeholder feedback.
About you
You bring experience in IT service design, transition, or management, with a solid track record of successful service implementations. With a strong grasp of service management frameworks like ITIL and Agile, you combine technical expertise with leadership skills that inspire and develop teams.
Your communication skills enable you to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, and your analytical approach supports data-driven decision-making and problem-solving. Committed to understanding customer needs, you focus on delivering high-quality services. Additionally, you’re proficient in project management, successfully handling multiple projects at once.
