  • Are you a detail-oriented and self-motivated accounting professional with a knack for managing complex financial data and stock controls? Join our dynamic team on a 6 month FTC as a Management/Financial Accountant and make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment!

     

    About the Role

    In this role, you will oversee and mentor two direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. You will ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting lease obligations under IFRS16 standards and manage cash flow forecasting to ensure optimal liquidity for business operations.

    Your responsibilities will include conducting month-end stock reconciliation reviews, performing goods in transit reconciliations, and reviewing stock gains/losses analysis. You will execute Product Price Variance (PPV) analysis, calculate stock provisions, and oversee duty on stock reconciliation, review, and WD5 submissions.

    Additionally, you will maintain and reconcile the CDS (Import) Control Account, calculate and submit Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) to the group, and manage freight costs accruals. You will also handle deferred and corporation tax calculations and submissions.

    Beyond these core tasks, you will update the Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme (AWRS) as required, assist with the preparation of statutory accounts (STAT), and participate in various project work to support business needs.

     

    About You

    To succeed in this role, you should have advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and the ability to manipulate large volumes of data.

    Prior experience in stock management and IFRS compliance is highly advantageous.
