    Follow the organisation's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviours within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate.

    About the role

    As the HSE Advisor you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) excellence within our organisation.Your responsibilities will include developing and nurturing professional relationships across functions to ensure compliance with HSE standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Conducting support visits focused on actionable improvements based on incident trends and audit findings will be a key aspect of your role, as well as facilitating HSE training sessions and promoting capability enhancement programmes. You will collaborate closely with operational teams to implement and monitor Group Management Standards and Risk Control Procedures, while also conducting H&S risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards effectively. Supporting colleagues in identifying unsafe practices and fostering participation in behavioural-based safety programmes will be essential.

    Additionally, you will contribute to accident investigations and ensure that key learnings are communicated effectively to prevent future incidents. Your involvement in pollution control, waste management, environmental conservation, and renewable energy development will further reinforce our commitment to sustainability. Overall, you will be instrumental in driving a proactive approach to HSE across our organisation, ultimately fostering a safer and more environmentally responsible workplace.

    Please note this role will require travel across the republic of Ireland supporting 7 depots. You will be travelling for 3 days per week.

    About you

    In this role, you'll need to possess technical qualifications in an HSE discipline. 

    In terms of competencies, you'll excel if you can build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively. Motivation is paramount, so being highly motivated is essential. Excellent time management skills are a must, along with top-notch verbal and written communication abilities. Having a customer service-oriented mindset is important, as is being self-motivated and capable of functioning effectively within a team.
