    Overview

    An exciting opportunity now exists to join the Financial Control Team of one of Ireland’s leading listed PLCs. The successful applicant will be a technically astute qualified accountant with relevant post qualified experience and project orientated, output driven approach. This position will play an important role in supporting the audit readiness and quality of our financial reporting, working in partnership with the accounting team, corporate sustainability team, supply chain and operations teams.

    About the Role

    • Become proficient in use of Solver and liaise with Storm, providers of Solver to help address the existing reporting issues
    • Work as part of team assessing Solver replacement and analyse changes required to be made in JDE ahead of implementation to facilitate change and enhance existing reporting processes
    • Analyse overhead reporting process and ensure consistency of data input to JDE and Solver and that Solver reflects the underlying GL input for respective entities.
    • Oversee implementation of CoStar and reconcile ROUA and lease liabilities on a monthly basis and check IFRS 16 entries are reflected in Group reporting
    • Oversee Trade Loan portfolio’s for both GB and ROI and ensure that new loans and advances are subject to appropriate authorisation procedures
    • Support statutory account production process for GB and ROI and liaise with EY to provide timely resolution to audit questions
    • Work collaboratively with ESG Finance to help support the development of ESG data controls framework and accounting processes
    • Support the  preparation and submission of CSRD compliant ESG disclosures, including both financial and non-financial sustainability data

     

    About You

    • Qualified chartered accountant, preferably with relevant post qualification experience. Experience in financial reporting and PLC experience would be a distinct advantage.
    • Knowledge of CSRD and EU Taxonomy. Technically astute with a detailed up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards including International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
    • Familiarity with Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and other global financial reporting frameworks.
    • Strong analytical ability and excellent numerical skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
    • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in data management and reporting.
    • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, with the ability to lead and interpret complex financial data.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and other data analysis tools.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interpreting and enhancing reports and liaising with stakeholders.
    • Strong project management skills to enhance financial accounting workflows.
