    About the Role 

    The key function of this role is to manage and grow the profitability of key group accounts while working as part of a team to deliver a multi-layered, consultative approach.

    Key Accountabilities 

    • Manage and grow sales and profitability within key regional groups.
    • Deliver an annual sales and margin budget for each group.
    • Work with key suppliers to deliver additional margin and growth opportunities.
    • Deliver growth and distribution of core C & C brands.
    • Re-negotiate contracts alongside the Regional Sales Manager - Wine.
    • Develop key account plans for each group that cover all elements within the contract.
    • Develop close cross-function working within the Bibendum and C & C business to achieve business goals.
    • Develop new business opportunities.

     

    About you

    • Solid and successful experience of selling wine to the UK on-trade market.
    • Excellent wine knowledge (minimum WSET Level 3, but WSET Level 4 preferred).
    • Superb communicator and presenter with strong networking skills.
    • Negotiating and influencing capability with experience of leading a key and complex negotiation with a high degree of commercial autonomy
    • Well networked and respected amongst clients and peers.
    • Logical, organised and self-motivated approach as well as an eye for detail.
    • Demonstrable understanding of costing calculations and budgets.
    • Sound computer skills (especially Excel).
    • A good general level of education.
    • Self-sufficient and the ability to work independently yet within company procedures.
    • Full UK driving License.
    • Experience of managing large groups, £600k plus annual sales - preferred
