    About the role

    Matthew Clark is recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to join the Southhampton Depot on a lates shift. You will be ensuring the smooth management of the warehouse operation, with responsibility for the delivery of cost, service, compliance, people KPIs – in line with company and legal standards and requirements.

    A Team leader will deputise for the Warehouse Night Shift Manager, not the Warehouse Logistics Manager.

    Role Responsbilties

    • Manage the usage of labour, adjusting plans to ensure tasks are covered effectively
    • Ensure all outbound goods are managed to the highest standards in terms of quality and accuracy
    • Work with the stock team to ensure any variances are investigated with implementation of corrective actions
    • Proactive communication with internal and external customers and suppliers, line manager and customer service team regarding operational issues.

    • Responsibility for the delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly plans to ensure customer and company needs are met.

    • Implement effective change to facilitate customer requirements

    • Ensure the warehouse is operationally ready and compliant to the required standard to ensure a safe working environment and a clean handover to the proceeding shift.

    • Proactively manage team members’ performance

    • Identify employee training requirements including mandatory regulatory training

    • Provide or arrange relevant training to team members to ensure compliance as well as development

    • Act following the company’s values and management principles within the department

    • Provide the team with expert knowledge, advice, leadership, motivation and addressing areas for improvement.

    About you

    • Experience in a management role within a fast moving and changing work environment such as FMCG or logistics
    • Experienced in leading and inspiring teams
    • MHE Qualifications of Reach and Counter are perferable
    • A good communicator with the ability to tailor there leadership style to deliver optimal performance through engaging and empowering colleagues.
    • A good eye for understanding process and how to impement continious improvement to drive efficiencies and performance across the team.
    • Computer literate with good understanding of excel, Previous use of a Warehouse Management System preferable.
