We are looking to recruit a Depot Manager located at our Bedford depot!
About the role
Running a Matthew Clark warehouse is no small feat. You’ll be in charge of a fleet of vehicles plus your own team. Every day, you’ll mastermind operations and keep everything running like clockwork. That means setting goals, motivating staff, adhering to legal compliance in transport and security and making Health & Safety your priority. We will be looking to you for delivery accuracy, stock availability and a depot that meets budgets. Hitting targets is key – but success is about more than that, we want you to create a positive, can-do culture and to improve processes through innovation. If there’s a better way of working, you won’t be afraid to try it!

About you
Love being at the heart of busy distribution operations? If so, you’ll be right at home in a Matthew Clark depot. Here, you can add to your proven track record and put your expertise to work. Ideally, you’ve worked in the FMCG sector, managing transport as well as a busy warehouse. Degree educated, your experience should come with an IOSH Managing Safely Certificate and a CPC Certificate of Professional Competence – but qualifications are only the start. We’re looking for a great team manager with a knack for inspiring people and you’ll know how to get the best out of everyone.
