  • Summary:

    We are a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation seeking an experienced and accomplished individual to join our senior leadership team as the Head of Service. As a key member of the Technology team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless delivery of technology services across our entire C&C landscape.

    About the role:

    As the Head of Service, you will lead and inspire internal and third-party Service Desk and Application Support professionals, ensuring the delivery of IT services aligns with agreed service level agreements and exceeds customer expectations.

    Your responsibilities will encompass driving best practices in IT Service Management (ITSM), overseeing incident and problem management, monitoring service performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

    You will coordinate the resolution of major incidents and problems, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and actively contribute to the wider objectives of the department.

    Additionally, you will manage internal and external audit requirements, collaborate with other IT leaders and business partners, and influence a budget of approximately £3 million.

    About You

    To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate:

    Proven leadership and coaching experience in high-performing teams, preferably within a large and complex organisation.  You will also have experience of successful management of external partners.

    You will be able to contribute at a senior level to the overall department and establish trust with colleagues across the business.  Ideally you will have 10 years + of experience in IT Service Delivery, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.

    Business acumen is important as you will need to have experience managing a significant budget.  A certification in ITIL or a similar framework.would be advantageous.

    You will have a track record of delivering high-quality IT services and managing complex IT projects.  You will have a strong knowledge of IT service management processes, tools, and methodologies.

    In this key leadershp role you will have a customer-centric and service-oriented mindset.  You will also have excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

    You will be able to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines..
