    About the Role

    A seldom available opportunity to work at the pinnacle of the UK Brewing profession is currently on offer at Glasgow’s internationally famous Wellpark Brewery. We are looking to fill one of the UK’s leading Technical Brewing positions where you will be working for a company that has been in continuously production since 1556. To be successful, like our famous Tennents Lager, you will need to be the stuff of legends.

    Using your technical brewing knowledge and great people skills you will develop and oversee the implementation of new recipes for Tennents and for our many contract partners. Working closely with internal and external customers, you will ensure smooth implementation of new products with challenging deadlines. Additionally, you will provide technical support to Wellpark brewery and other breweries within C&C group, ensuring that you help drive our culture of continuous improvement to ensure that our world class brewing department continues to meet and surpass our extremely demanding targets. 

    Key Accountabilities

    • Own and deliver technical projects in line with both site and group strategy
    • Focus on optimising Quality, Service and Cost
    • Provide technical support to the Brewing Department as and when required
    • Deliver project trials relating to innovation and value engineering
    • Lead and implement relevant new technology, processes, products and materials, working with other departments as required
    • You will be the lead technical liaison with contract partners across UK and Ireland
    • Enhance our continuous improvement culture by coaching and supporting teams to ensure they excel on a daily operational basis
    • Liaise with other manufacturing sites within C&C Group to provide technical support, and facilitate the creation, sharing and implementation of best practice and benchmarking standards.

    About you 

    • Food science related degree such as brewing & distilling, biochemistry or chemical engineering.
    • Diploma brewer qualification as a minimum, Master Brewer is ideal.
    • Project management experience.
    • Experience working in a technical/R&D role in the brewing or related industry.
    • Proficient in use of IT systems.
