Our Matthew Clark Credit Control team are looking for a Credit Controller to join them on a 12-month fixed term contract.

About the role
Within the role you'll work with our Regional and National Customers to make sure their accounts are up to date and deal with any queries that arise. You will ensure company overdue debt levels are within targeted parameters and will minimise financial risk.
You'll maximise cash flow by ensuring cash is collected in line with or below payment terms for all accounts. Using excellent attention to detail you'll you'll review overdue accounts on a daily basis and place customers on monitor / stop when necessary.
You will be building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers to collect overdue payments, manage their payment options and find appropriate resolutions to their account queries.
This position is based at our brand new office in the Pavilions on a Hybrid Basis (working alternating Thursdays, Fridays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the office on a 1 week at home, 1 week in the office basis).
Our brand new offices in the Pavilions has a Canteen, Shop and Coffee shop. In addition you'll be able to join the onsite 24/7 gym for £15 per month, with a range of classes available to book! There is onsite parking available, or you can catch the A1 (Aiport Flyer) bus for a discounted rate of £1.50 each way.

About you
With previous experience in a Credit Control function, you'll have intermediate/advanced Excel skills with experience of using VLOOKUP’s.
You will have the ability to be able to communicate well and build relationships by listenning to customers and negotiating appropriately. Communication is important in this role as you will ensure that credit limits are always adhered to and to ensure that credit limit reviews are in line with changing risk and/or payment history.
As important as it is for Credit Control to have the financial savvy to manage transactions and finance systems, the MOST important thing is how you handle situations. Our Credit Control team come across many different situations and this role has a focus on a variety of collections some with high profile high value National Accounts and others at the opposite end with Regional Accounts.
