  • About the Role 

    Are you a digital savvy marketeer with a passion for wine and the hospitality industry? Want to join a dynamic brand communications team within the exciting UK drinks trade? Then this is the role for you!

    This position offers a great opportunity to hone your digital and creative skills, and learn more about the wine and hospitality industry. Working within the brand communications team, the Digital Marketing Executive will support the team to deliver the overall Marketing Plan for premium on-trade wine specialist, Bibendum; the off-trade’s wine solutions partner, Bibendum Off-Trade; and independent merchant and specialist retail partner, Walker & Wodehouse.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Support wider Brand Communications team to deliver the overall strategy and marketing plans for Bibendum, Bibendum Off-Trade (BOT) and Walker & Wodehouse (W&W).
    • Monthly management of calendar plans for some of the routes to market, as well as detailed social media mapping, planning and scheduling, as well as working with social media agency, Huddle.
    • Content creation and proofing – including video, photo and written.
    • Paid social media (Meta).
    • Help maintain the corporate websites – this includes managing the relationships with providers, producing and uploading content, making sure it meets on-page SEO requirements, while also working with the website developers on continuous improvement projects.
    • Work closely with the Ecommerce team to ensure alignment of priorities and workflow.
    • Liaise with various stakeholders in the business to maintain and improve our product data for the website and Ecommerce platform.
    • Manage the overall SEO plan and liaise with SEO agency, BrightEdge.
    • Manage the overall PPC plan.
    • Digital marketing tasks, such as email newsletters (Dotdigital).
    • Attend events around the country (but mostly in London) and cover on social media.
    • Travel to customers around the country, as well as trips to producers.

    About you 

    • Degree or relevant vocational qualification
    • WSET Level 2 or equivalent (in wine)
    • A passion for and knowledge in wine (ideally WSET L2+)
    • Creative content creator, with excellent copywriting skills
    • Good organisational and project management skills
    • Good attention to detail and proofreading skills
    • Excellent level of computer literacy and skills (considerable experience using various website CMS systems (Umbraco, WordPress), PPC, SEO, Ecommerce systems, email marketing campaigns, etc)
    • Excellent Excel, Google Slides and PowerPoint skills and ability to create and manage reports
    • Experience in email and social media marketing
    • Commercially aware, with clear understanding of the drinks and hospitality industry
    • Experience in photography, videography and design would also be preferred.
