    ABOUT THE ROLE

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right person to take up C&C Group's Head of Channel Strategy.  This position will assume responsibility for leading the channel team to devise a go to market winning strategy and facilitate growth planning activities for key on-trade categories including cider, beer, wine, and spirits using analytics and data driven insights, through cross-functionality collaboration.

    Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Overall responsibility to define, develop and execute a first-class Channel Strategy across GB
    • Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team, through inspirational leadership and coaching to drive performance and professional development
    • Act as the on-going partner to sales teams and lead strategic planning and decision-making for each Channel through integrated analysis of external marketplace dynamics, key business capabilities and brand growth opportunities
    • Work collaboratively with category and marketing teams to ensure full portfolio requirements are aligned and contribute to the annual brand planning process
    • Working with Customer Marketing to shape activations across all categories
    • Lead on overall process optimisation, to deliver portfolio plans with greater effectiveness and efficiency where possible
    • Interpret analytical findings into relevant, actionable, and understandable insights and actions for our sales teams to deliver the On-Trade strategy
    • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with sales leadership and other key managers for the purpose of reviewing progress as well as identifying growth opportunities in volume and value

     

    ABOUT YOU

    To be considered for the role you will possess the following:

    • A strong on-trade background gained from within the alcohol industry
    • Proven leadership skills and performance driven
    • Demonstrable experience of project delivery & change management, ideally from a transformation programme. Working knowledge of lean and agile methodologies would be highly advantageous
    • Strategic planning, critical thinking, coupled with strong business & commercial acumen skills are pre-requisites
    • Must be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, exciting work environment, with bias towards action
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills to help understand and prioritise opportunities against the bigger picture
    • Ability to communicate with influence and action at every level
    • Works well in team environment, with sound negotiation and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent stakeholder engagement & relationship building
    • Demonstrated success managing remote teams
