    About the role

    C&C have a wide portfolio of owned beer and cider brands including Tennents, Menabrea, Magners & Orchard Pig. We’re looking for a Senior Customer Marketing Manager who will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of the On Trade channel on the C&C Premium beer portfolio brands, as well as determining the Premium beer portfolio strategy.

    You will lead the annual customer plans for the C&C Premium Beer portfolio brands across the On Trade, working collaboratively with the insight, category and commercial teams. You will manage and evaluate the core activities, providing recommendations to deliver against business objectives.  You will also be involved in proposing and managing appropriate customer innovation opportunities within the portfolio.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Working with Brand and Customer Marketing Leads, Insight Team, and Commercial colleagues to develop compelling customer and channel plans for C&C Premium Beer brands in the On Trade. Gain alignment and commitment to the key objectives and deliverables. Make adjustments and recommendations throughout the year to ensure the overall business objectives are met. Ensure off trade and on trade plans have synergy.
    • Work with the Brand Director and Insight Team to deliver a C&C Premium Beer portfolio strategy that is reflective of customer needs, brand positioning and distribution mapping to ensure C&C win across the portfolio. Propose and manage appropriate customer innovation opportunities to drive our portfolio.
    • Develop and deliver annual customer and brand plans, derived from understanding brand and customer objectives and agreeing mutually beneficial, category building plans. Report and drive efficiency and impact of all executed customer marketing activity, ensuring that learnings are shared in the interests of return on investment across the portfolio
    • Lead and support the sell-in of compelling brand plans to key customers, tailored to maximise opportunities by customer and channel. Work closely with Commercial Planning, Channel Management and Commercial Team within C&C to build strong relationships with key England & Wales On Trade customers and deliver best in class plans. Understand customer motivations to ensure mutually aligned plans are developed and delivered.
    • To lead and develop direct reports, devising and following a talent development plan. Create a collaborative working culture and coach team members to perform to the best of their ability.

    About you

    • Experience of working within Brand &/or Marketing teams, preferably in a drinks environment or within FMCG
    • Considerable experience developing integrated channel and customer plans and providing an evaluation of their effectiveness versus business objectives.
    • Experience of applying strategic marketing principles and consumer insights, to build category driving channel plans.
    • Experience of building range review/ customer tender documents that clearly demonstrate the role of the brand in the category.
