About the Role
Manages communication projects and the delivery of clear, consistent and effective day-to-day communications within the company, often working on employee-facing communications, such as newsletters, intranet content, and internal campaigns to ensure employees are well-informed, engaged and aligned with the company goals. Maintaining our digital presence for colleagues, customers and stakeholders, as well as shareholders and future colleagues. Using AI to improve efficiency, produce targeted communications, provide valuable insights, and overcome challenges.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the communication and engagement strategy: For colleagues at all stages of their lifecycle with the company, continuously improving the quality and level of interaction from transactional and operations communications to strategic communications.
- Develop Communication Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive internal communication plans to effectively communicate key company messages, initiatives, and policies.
- Content Creation: Write, edit and produce communications assets materials, including emails, newsletters, posters, intranet content, video and photography to ensure clear, engaging, and accurate messaging.
- Videography/photography: Create impactful multimedia content including photographing and filming senior leaders and colleagues, and editing videos to produce compelling content that enhances employee initiatives and boosts colleague engagement.
- Intranet Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of the company intranet, ensuring content is relevant, up-to-date, and easily accessible. Collaborate with stakeholders and teams across the business to establish individual SharePoint sites tailored to their business functions, improving colleague access to information and enhancing overall efficiency and messaging.
- Event Communication: Support internal events such as town halls, employee recognition programs, and other initiatives through clear and engaging communication and delivery.
- Branding and Consistency: Ensure all internal communications are aligned with the company's brand and values, maintaining consistency across all channels. Managing visual content for the organisation through image libraries and the brand hub.
- Community Partner Activations: Collaborate with our community partner, currently the Big Issue, to implement both internal and external fundraising campaigns that support our partnership and advance our Sustainability Agenda.
- AI Implementation: Serve as an AI Champion by leveraging AI to enhance the efficiency of business functions and practices. Continuously drive improvements that benefit the business and address the challenges we face.
- Business Training Sessions: Host engaging training sessions for various teams across the business to share knowledge on specialised subjects such as SharePoint functionality, digital signage, and AI usage.
- Social Media Management: Oversee the corporate social media channels by crafting compelling copy and creating engaging infographics and multi-media content to drive user engagement and enhance our online presence.
- Business Transformation: Support with business transformation projects to enhance organisational efficiency and drive growth by creating and distributing leadership communication toolkits, monthly managers' packs, and other key deliverables.
- Website maintenance: Writing and uploading content, ensuring SEO requirements, while also working on continuous improvement projects.
About you
- Excellent level of computer literacy and skills (considerable experience across SharePoint, using various website CMS systems (Umbraco, WordPress), Ecommerce systems, email marketing campaigns)
- Experience in photography, videography, editing and design, using tools including Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud apps
- Experience in email and social media marketing, with the ability to create and manage reports
- Good organisational, planning and project management skills
- Creative approach to content creation and communication – taking the initiative and looking at different ways of approaching opportunities with commercial awareness
- Proactive, with energy and enthusiasm to connect with people and build strong relationships
- Ability to working in partnership with internal teams and external agencies
- Drinks or hospitality industry experience will be beneficial, as well as knowledge and/or experience of wine, spirits and beer.
- A keen interest in digital marketing, communication and engagement trends
