    Overview

    The Commercial Excellence Manager will lead and inspire the Commercial Excellence team, driving transformation and continuous improvement across all areas within Commercial. This role is critical in delivering value, high standards, and exceptional performance. By leveraging data driven insights, building strong stakeholder relationships, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence, the Commercial Excellence Manager ensures commercial processes are executed effectively, aligned with business goals, and fully compliant with corporate policies and governance standards. This includes identifying inefficiencies, implementing best practices, and leveraging data-driven insights to streamline workflows, enhance operational effectiveness, and maximise return on investment. 

    Key Accountabilities

    • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing Commercial Excellence team.
    • Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and cross departmental collaboration with a strong focus on delivering value-add solutions, exceptional service quality, and measurable performance outcomes. 
    • Deliver targeted coaching and training to develop team capability, ensuring team members become highly skilled and recognised subject matter experts in all processes, compliance, and reporting. 
    • Establish and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team. 
    • Produce accurate, timely, and insightful reports for senior leadership, covering monthly performance, POS reconciliation and promotional stock. 
    • Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal reporting standards and governance requirements. 
    • Promotional Stock & POS Processing 
    • Oversee the end-to-end process for promotional stock management across the group, ensuring full transparency of process, monitoring of allocations and monthly reconciliation. 
    • Ensure accurate and timely POS processing through the Commercial Excellence team maintaining compliance with business policies and POS guidelines and sales teams’ allocations. 
    • Continually review all team processes to assess efficiency, compliance, and alignment with business objectives.  
    • Identify gaps and risks, ensuring processes are fit for purpose and scalable. 
    • Ensure all optimised processes are documented, communicated, fully understood and embedded across the team. 
    • Validate that all team processes adhere to business policies, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks. 
    • Implement best practices to streamline workflows and enhance operational effectiveness.  
    • Drive initiatives that embed a culture of continuous improvement across the team. 
    • Accountable for the end-to-end process of management of all commercial assets across Bermar and Staycold, from order management to installation ensuring the team remains the conduit between the account manager and the supplier. 
    • Ensure full compliance and that all relevant approvals are obtained and all due diligence is carried out prior to order confirmation to the supplier. 
    • Ensure timely inputs of forecast are received from the Sales Directors, monitoring and collating the forecast for commercial assets and sharing these with the supplier. 
    • Maintain accurate data, produce status reports, and identify opportunities to improve processes and supplier performance. 
    • Maintain asset records, monitor performance, & conduct post-installation reviews to ensure customer satisfaction. 
    • Ensure all commercial processes adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. 
    • Act as the gatekeeper for compliance checks to ensure audit trails and full disclosure and transparency. 
    • Identify and mitigate commercial risks related to ways of working and operational execution.  
    • Maintain a risk register and implement controls to prevent financial or reputational exposure. 
    • Ensure accurate and complete documentation for all commercial transactions.  
    • Provide regular governance reports to senior leadership and recommend corrective actions 
    • Review governance processes for efficiency and effectiveness and implement best practices and update policies to reflect evolving business needs. 
    • Train teams on all business compliance requirements and the importance of always being compliant and monitor adherence.
