    What you'll do

    • Regularly review plan, consider driver debrief feedback from the transport team.
    • Take corrective action if improvements identified.
    • Plan timings cost effectively, reviewing time allocated to drops Vs actual time taken by delivery crew. Amend where necessary.
    • Monitor TW success (OTIF – on time in full).  Review missed windows and identify root cause. Repeat failures to be identified and resolved with support of planning manager.
    • Ensure that planning KPI and volume reports are produced in a timely fashion for internal and external consumption. 
    • Liaise with Customer Services teams feeding back any delivery queries/problems and assisting in the resolution of any customer delivery day and time window issues
    • To assist and deputise for the planning manager when required.
    • Adhere to all depot Health and Safety procedures.

    About you

    • Previous experience / can demonstrate knowledge of transport planning.
    • Knowledge of systems, ability to learn quickly (DIPS; JDE; Microlise)
    • Geographical awareness (Scotland)
    • Ability to problem solve calmly.
    • Ability to work well individually or as part of a team.
    • Ability to work to challenging deadlines.
    • Good communicator
    • Flexible attitude to working times.
